Our Team

Dan Reid

Dan Reid is a native of Wyandot County. He is a 1978 graduate of Upper Sandusky High School. Dan graduated from Ohio Northern University in 1982, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Dan holds the CPCU (Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter) professional designation from The Institutes of Malvern, PA. He has also earned the CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter) and ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant) professional designations from The American College of Bryn Mawr, PA.

Dan has earned numerous sales and service awards from the insurance companies he represents, including the Senior Partner award from Grange Insurance, 33 years in a row. In addition, he has qualified for the Grange Life President's Club consistently.

Community involvement is one of Dan's pastimes. Dan has served on the Hospice of Wyandot County Board for over 25 years. He is the current Vice-president of the Wyandot County Chamber Board. He is a member of Rotary Club (past President). Dan, along with his wife Wendy, founded Boy Scout Troop 125, Upper Sandusky, where he served as Scoutmaster. Dan is a recipient of the Loren Schoenberger Distinguished Alumni Award from the Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity at Ohio Northern University.

Amy Smalley

Amy Smalley joined the Reid Insurance Agency in the fall of 2017. She is a licensed property & casualty agent and also is the Agency's office manager. Everyone can appreciate her friendly and professional customer service.

Amy is a graduate of Carey High School. Her courses at The University of Findlay and Marion Technical College have provided her with a strong foundation in business and human resources. Amy has experience in customer service and financial reporting through her experience in the field of banking.She worked as a customer service representative, administrative assistant, and human resources administrator in her years with Commercial Savings Bank in Upper Sandusky.

Amy is married, with two adult children. Her involvement with the community includes Friends of the Library, Relay for Life, and Wyandot County 4 -H.

Betty Smiley

Betty Smiley has been a big part of the Reid Insurance Agency team since 2005. She offers exceptional service as a personal lines customer service representative at the agency. Betty has been a great “jack of all trades”...assisting with auto, home, and life insurance changes, questions, and concerns.

Betty is a native of Findlay, Ohio. She is a graduate of Findlay High School. Betty began her career as an office administrator with Prater Explosives, in Findlay.

Betty is married, with three adult children...and six dogs! She loves all outdoor and yard work activities.
